Is that a POP version with alloys? Pop comes stock with hubcaps, I think.
There's a 500 Studio over by me and I've been there. These are really cool cars and once you see one and sit in one you WANT one!
Congrats, and your GF is very cute. :)

Nice cars, but I can't stomach the requirement for 91coupled with less power than a 10-year-old 1nzfe

I hate to say it but I was very close to trading in the yaris for a sport one a few months back and not to be the bearer of bad news but IMO I thought the fiat was better in every aspect . I don't think I could even put these cars in the same class other than small....The only thing that really kept me from getting one was the monthly payment...

Congrats on the new ride!

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but being Japanese built (Yaris) was why I didnt consider the Fiesta (built in Brazil) or the Fiat, built in Toluca Mexico.

Just saying....

what?

and isnt the tranny and engine a one piece ?
I think the 500 requires 91 octane fuel (in other words, the pricey stuff), and the 1.4L engine only has about 70ish HP.

I'll stick with my 1nz as well.

Maybe they ought to just drop the price and sell them at Dodge Dealers instead of 'Studios'. I think people are seeing through this upscale marketing deal. They just want cheap cars that get good gas mileage, like the original Fiat 500, and maybe a few hot rodded Abarths.

LOL I was looking up specs last night for I was very interested in what these little guys had to offer.

Fiat specs:
101hp @6500
98 ft-lbs@400rpm
2363lbs curb weight.
I bet it's not any slower than a Yaris.

But the reason I bought my Yaris was the Build quality... Didn't know the fiat was made in Mexico, was secretly hoping they would be true Italian, at least the parts would be made there and at least assembled here.

The fiat weighs more than my yaris :O that I did not expect. I like how the Fiats look, but I don't know that I'd buy one.

i drove a "base" one with a 5spd....was similar in feel to my 07....and much nicer inside

but it was smaller and several thousand more.....and the new '12 yaris is much nicer than the gen2 yaris...

that said, if i wreck my yaris tomorrow, ill look for a used yaris or echo hatch....you just cant beat the economy for the price (and i can't afford a new car)
