So I accidentally ran over a center Median curb the other day at a decent speed .... here are a few pics of the damage .... no quote yet but theres murmurs of the word "totaling"
You may ask yourself; "how the hell did this guy run over the median" well I was house sitting for a friend and very unfamiliar with the area and while making a left turn on an awkwardly non-90 Degree turn i cut the corner a bit quickly and due to it being super dark and poor visibility the median just jumped out at me!
To add insult to injury once the tow truck came (the flat bed) the driver didn't screw in the tow hitch enough and while he was leveling the bed with my car already in place it came loose and ROLLED OFF THE FLATBED with it being about 2 feet off the ground and my back tires slammed into the ground and the undercarriage in the back was caught on the lip of the flat bed
now I have a case with AAA for the Rear half of the vehicle and a case for the front half with USAA (my ins) and a good 3-4 weeks at least before i get my baby back :(

I sympathize. Though I've never been unlucky enough to run over a center median, there were several occasions where I've come close to doing so when driving in total darkness....even in areas that I am familiar with.
Anyway, I hope your car will be put together soon as good as new. By the way, I once had a Versa as a vacation rental, and it wasn't bad at all.
Sorry about your mishap
Rule No. 1 - Never document any damage to your Yaris on this forum, someday you might want to sell it here, now we know it's been thru hell and back

So Its time for a long deserved update on this whole situation .... sorry for the delay but my Yaris was in the shop for 4 weeks and then all the holidays happened and then vacation lol
The total damages where over $6,000 !! the major things that got fixed/replaced where:
-new oil pan
-new fronted/bumper
-4 new steelies
-2 new tires (front)
-new front right control arm
and a host of little pieces that got bent/went missing in the accident
The Rental Versa treated me ok ..... id never buy one but it was decent to drive .... i did put almost 3,000 miles on it in 3 weeks :D

Good to hear that the shop did a nice job putting your car back together. Four weeks is pretty quick I think, given all the stuff that needed to be replaced!
