Ok guys, now that I've actually got the car and have had some time to do some research as to what I'm going to do with it I feel the time has come for a real introduction.

My name is Mike and I'm from Lafayette Louisiana. I'm a videographer by trade and I'm happily married with a beautiful little girl of 2 1/2.

Cars are obviously a hobby of mine, as is writing, collecting antiques, building motorized bicycles, photography, astronomy, and brewing beer. Let's see if I can try to list some of the cars I've owned.

1984 Honda Prelude
1993 Mazda 626
1992 Mazda 323
1987 Toyota Supra turbo
1986 Pontiac Fiero SE V6
1976 Ford Maverick
1977 Pontiac Trans Am
1990 Mazda Miata
2001 Mazda Miata
2003 Ford Mustang Gt
2001 BMW 325i
1987 Honda Accord
1990 Honda Accord
1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD
1981 Datsun 280zx
1984 Nissan 300zx turbo
1992 Volkswagen Golf GTi
2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart
1995 Acura Integra LS
and I'm sure there are more....

I've driven everything from Ford Aspires and Geo Metros to 650+whp Supras, yet I always come back to the small little cars. Straight line speed has never impressed me that much, I like handling. Now being a father I need something reliable yet still fun, so I chose the Yaris. I'll eventually be getting another Miata in the future, however, as a second car.

Oh, and I attached a couple of pictures to show some of the things I've owned in the past.

Wow, that's a lot of cars! What do you currently own (I'm assuming it's a Yaris and the Bimmer)?

The emerald mica one got smooshed between two trucks (luckily at low speeds) about six weeks after I bought it, the mariner blue one I kept for about three years and then eventually got bored with it after I'd fully restored it.

I found it amusing the first reply you got was from a user named "Hamster"

Welcome Mike, I used to be a claims adjuster and worked all over Texas and Louisiana and I actually worked Hurricane Lily that hit Lafayette. I swear the people of Lafayette are the nicest people of any place i've ever been.

I have relatives in New Brunswick who are Acadians. So I am probably a distant relative of yours. LOL
