so i have these moon discs on my wheels and i deff like them and want to keep them on but they cover up the valve stems , is it possible (which im sure it is) to cut out holes in the moons where the stems are would this be a professional job or just need the right tools to cut the metal ? i guess they are aluminum

if you do a cutout it will look like ass

better to get a computer room tile suction cup and
use that to pop the covers on and off rapidly

I had moons on my 66 Mustang and took them to a proshop for them to cut the valve stem holes. I made sure that I had chrome stems and chrome valve stem caps. If done right they really don't look too shabby at all. You need to decide if you have the funds to replace a cover if you hose it up doing it yourself. :iono:

well thats what im saying im not gonna try to diy just was asking on here first i have a friends who might know a place that does great work but now that i heard that uve done it thats cool

did they still stay on with the same snugness after u cut them ?
and was there ample room to get a pressure gauge in there ?
and would you happen to have a pic with the holes cut ? if not no bigg

that is pretty cool but i would just be afraid that if you keep taking them on a off the clips will eventually become weaker although its not like id have to take them off many times in a row

keep the clips wet with grease and clean up all extra residue and they will last forever

SO easy to drill a hole. just make sure it's backed with a piece of wood.

I think a smallish hole with the valve stem extended to just be accessible would look fine. Stainless valve stem cap FTW

yeah okay i guess i was thinking bout like cutting a "c" shape like along the edge but i never thought of drilling a hole ahhaha thank you

im gonna try to do this hopefully this week and hopefully it wont look to awkward with a small hole in each disc maybe ill photoshop just to get an idea

should i just cut one for the valve stems or a couple to give it a different look ? if so how many holes ? maybe more than 5 is to much

One looks just fine - but if you drill more, my vote is for the one with 8!

yeah i dont know i might be leaning toward less i think no more than 4
although 8 might make them lighter but only by about .007 grams hah

so i talked to my friends metal shop guy and they were sayin because these are stainless steel if you tried to cut a hold it would leave a burn mark i mean i guess i believe these guys but i still think there could be some way to drill holes i dont know. but i think ill just leave them on with no holes but im mad cuz i have the trd valve caps but oh well theyll just be hiding underneath the discs
