For some reason I bought 5w-20 oil for the yaris. I remember every time I have used 5-30. I live in Florida and do mostly highway miles. The oil I bought is Mobil1 full synthetic 5w-20 I dont have time to drive 30 miles to the store and back. Can I use it this one time and not have problem? My yaris is an 07 with 130k miles

Should be fine . Just keep an eye on the oil level on the dipstick . There's SHELL full synthetic 5w-20 in the '08 sedan and it's running fine . There may be a little more engine noise . Plan to get an U.O.A. ( used oil analysis ) when it reaches 4,500+ miles . There's close to 3,000 on it . Using the TOYOTA ( Denso ) oil filter . If you decide to use it . Let us know of your experience . Thanks .

I run 5w-20 with K&N oil filter in my Yaris in the winter. It runs fine with it, Car starts much easier on those cold mornings. the Battery and Starter thank me. No oil loss or engine noise, switched back to 5w-30 in the spring. Plan on doing it again this year too.
