Hi, I bought these in Oct. and ended up buying another truck. I paid $185 for the set. These have the SMD style LED's in the halos. I am open to offers. Buyer to pay shipping.

Yeah I've had two sets of these, I think I paid $80 shipped and $100 shipped for each pair. If someone wanted to root through all 7,000 posts and find it they might win a banana sticker or something. :biggrin:

Well, considering that you are not a vendor and there would be no guarantee that if there is any problem with them that you would provide a full refund or a replacement; good luck trying to sell them for what you paid!

Plus, you have to take in consideration that you are new on this forum (17 posts) and there is some element of risk involved in my sending you money and hoping you are legit. Obviously, I would need some information to send you payment; but I've seen scams on similar forums in the past.

Thirdly, while you would be taking a loss for them; you have to also consider that they are of no use or value to you sitting in a box somewhere. At least you'd be recouping a significant portion of your investment; far more than you're likely going to get any other way. There are numerous similar lights on eBay, so it's not guaranteed you'd do any better there.

As such, my offer--which I think was fair--will stand through the weekend, just to give you a little time to reconsider it.

Otherwise, good luck finding a buyer. It's not like the 06-8 Yaris hatches are an overly common car in this country, but maybe you'll be lucky enough to find someone with the right car who is looking to replace their headlights with these aftermarket types and who is not a member of this forum.

Honestly, you did overpay and expecting someone else to recoup your mistake was not likely to happen. There's no way anyone is going to pay more than what I offered for a used set, and the ones I got are exactly the same.

And actually, I lucked out a little as before I bought the set I got, I did a little research and found that Texas requires amber reflectors on the front sides of the vehicle; so if your lights are like the ones pictured they would have been illegal in this state and many others.

I only hope you enjoy your light as much as I am enjoying mine!

Actually, he hasn't been back since his last post in this thread; but considering the only other thread he posted in (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37181), maybe we lucked out in not getting those lights! :eek:

Looks like he had major issues with them, then he comes on here and tries to highball everyone for them. Well, no wonder he never came back.

Plus, there seems to be some inconsistency in his story. In here he claims "I was just looking for some cash for my diesel" whereas in the other thread he states "I sold my dually." Now, maybe he's got two diesels, but it's suspicious if you ask me! :cool:

Secondly, he failed to mention some of the issues he had with these lights ("The halos have an issue, so they are sending me out 4 of the newer brighter replacements free of charge," "I think its a problem with the little black box that the wires come out of," "The drivers side halos stopped working last night!" and "I replaced the Halo LED's they sent. They are brighter being the SMD's but thats all. The drivers side is still on dim when swithced off.:-( I have been through everything with volt meter and its something when they are all tied together... When separate it is fine. Not sure, but I tired of messing with it"). Then there's his last comment (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showpost.php?p=615641&postcount=18), which leads me to believe he was trying to pass of defective goods to someone on this forum.

Unless he comes on here with a reasonable explanation of the above, I think everyone should pass on this "offer." First, he overpaid and then he is having major problems with these lights. I think I ducked a bullet and honestly, even if he does show up here again, his membership in this forum should be under scrutiny unless he does explain everything.

'Cause right now it all looks like :bs: to me!

WOW!! You guys are something else! Yes, I had issues with the halos. They sent me new SMD style LED's to replace both headlights. Which I did and has been fine ever since. Also, once I figured out how to adjust the lights they have been great. This car is what I drive back and forth to the department and to save on fuel. I did sell my 09 dually and bought this car. But I also have an 08 dodge 2500 diesel that I use for fun and to pull our 5ver. I have not been back on this site in some time correct. I have since ordered a set of hids to put in these as I have decided to keep them. I am a bit taken back by some of the comments and bashing that goes on here. I searched for yaris forums to try and learn about this car since Ive never owned one. Again thank you to the ones that have something constructive to say. I have learned some good info here. To the others, well its not my place to judge.
