I finally got my 2012 Yaris. Black, three door, manual, no air. The little car has some pep but the clutch takes getting used too from 31 years of driving VW diesels. I miss not having a tach but I can remedy that I guess.

Finally a car I can drive to work (76kms one way) which stays on full until I head home.

All in all I'm not disappointed with her. Now I need to figure out a name.

Yes I name my cars since I keep them for over 10 years.

All my cars are a "Her"

As far as the "No air" goes, I had a/c in my GolfTDi which I used twice in 12 years. I figured I would save the extra $1,000.

my first car was a burgandy geo metro. I named it the goose egg. going along with that theme, I named my black yaris the rotten egg. names are funny things.

I love my cars too.

in canada do you ever really need a/c? my cavalier's a/c has been broken since almost the day I bought it and we see upper 90's around my area. yea it sucks sometimes but it isn't worth me fixing it.

I would love to see pics. I added a tach to mine, it was really easy. there is a wonderful DIY on here. if you use it, read the entire thread and all responses. some of the wire colors change depending on the year. I figure you can figure out the 2012 from that.

black, 3-door, manual...does it get any better?

good point but I would think that its importance would be much less there than say in texas.

It is too bad a/c is optional on the Canadian CE version, and no tach with 5 speed.

It's too bad they don't get a similar trim to the LE which has those options for a similar price, but I also wish Toyota offered the CE spec in the US since it would save some cost and weight for those looking for a basic car for performance.
