i know the older gens all have this, does anyone know if its kept with the 2012's?

Yes, 2012's with the cold weather package still have the PTC heater.

I don't see an option for the cold weather package on the 2012's in either the brochure or Toyota online. Where are you seeing that this option is available?

Perhaps the PTC heater comes standard on the 2012's?

The 2012 electrical wiring diagrams still have it asterisked as an optional device.

Is there a way to quickly ID if a 2012 has this option or not? Perhaps wires coming from the heater box or something like that? I will have to make sure I get this option if I buy a Yaris.

I know my 2012 doesn't have one. The owner's manual doesn't even mention a heater at all, just the AC.

It's a California car. :wink:

Mine is supposed to have it, but I'll be damned if I've ever seen it work. Tested using all the prerequisites and still get cold air. :mad:

A Yaris not equipped with the PTC heater should not have the HTR SUB1 and HTR SUB 2 fuses and should also lack the HTR SUB1, HTR SUB2, and HTR SUB3 relays in the under hood fuse panel.
