Got a dual amp kit (for 1600 and 1200 amp kits it says) but its telling me to use a single fuse (from one kit) to run both amps. Wouldnt it blow the fuse (two 600 watt amps) if I did it with one of the 600watt amps fuse like it says? Should I double fuse inline before dist box and then after the split keep the original fuses going to each amp?

Also, my install wire kit has four plugs. I think its made to prevent splicing original wires. The old hu had three plugs, but only one of the four plugs fit the original plugs. Do all three have to fit, or just the one?

The kit is made for yaris it says, its a scosche ta021

A single fuse is fine, but the fuse and the wire connecting the fuse to the battery and the fuse to the amps need to be appropriately sized for the current that will be flowing through them.

I don't think they would cause an interference issue, so I would have a fuse for each unit in the appropriate size, and then in the main harness to the battery, a main fuse. If you have only one fuse and something goes bad in one amp, it could cause havoc in your car before the big one in the mainline blows. So , short version, Yes, I would go with your thoughts on separate fuses for safety reasons.

The plug that fits on the stereo appears to be the front/main harness only, no rear plug fits. Thats fine, since Ill be using an amp to drive the four speakers after upgrading anyways.

So Ill do the three fuses setup, but is my assumption on doubling the "main" fuse correct and safe?

Think Im going to go take duel kit back and exchange for a dist box and get a 1200 watt wire kit. ( since I have all wires, just need power and fuse) since I have two 600 watt amps, the 1200watt kit should be fine for my main wire.
