So after Christmas came and went I decided to buy myself a JL 12w3 and a JL JX1000.1 amp to go along with it! Before this i had just done some modest work on the car including deadening the doors, spare tire compartment, and rear side panels as well as adding a fosgate r150-2 that runs my polk db651's in the door. The "problem" I've run in to is that the bass now far surpasses everything else in the system, to the point that even when fully turned down to -5 on the HU the front polks can barely keep up. I was thinking of upgrading the fronts to JL C3-650's, getting a JX360/2 amp for them and then moving the polk setup to the back. Would this be sufficient to kind of even things out? I'll start actually taking pictures of my installs, especially now that I'll probably be deadening the hatch and couple other problem areas & then doing a component install.

Thanks!

Here is the sub install:

uh... you have un-amped speakers and amped 12"? Yeah....mismatch.

I've got a 10" R, and it deafens everything else when turned +5, but is nicely matched with 0 or +2. That's with the front and rear amp'd 75W each (PDX5).

I would set up "gains" on the amps first.
