V Reg 1999 Toyota Yaris 1.0 gls semi auto

Hi everyone - I am getting a "beeping" sound from the black box that is situated in the passenger side footwell om my Yaris. Cant find my handbook so no idea whats happening - can any help please.

I presume by semi auto you mean MMT? Funnily enough this happened to me this am as well, caused by the box selecting neutral of its own accord and refusing to change , until I switched off, left it for about 30 secs and tried again. Been ok since.

I guess therefore that it is a mulipurpose warning gong, sounding whenever some fault is detected, but not limited to one fault....
