Okay YW fans, I need your assistance.
What electronics brands, products, pieces do you guys want me to try to look at during the show next week?
I'll be hanging around the IASCA booth and the Hybrid Audio Technologies suite at the Hilton right across from the convention center. I'll be making it a point to visit Arc Audio for information (and probably a purchase) on the PS8 processor.
Personally I want to visit the Elettromedia suite, Digital Designs booth, USACi booth, Audio Technicha suite, McIntosh suite, and many others.
What would you guys like to see? I'll be loading pics (and hopefully video) of the show and the CES award winning products and technologies every day I'm there.

I want an in-car screen with DLNA so I can run it from my Android phone, just like my home TV. I don't need a head unit any more if I can get that.
So far, I can't see that anyone makes one. There is a box, but I want it built in.

If my memory seerves me correctly, Sony had the biggest screen playing at the show last year. I have pics of it somewhere. IIRC it was over 75' long and 50' high. The Phillips booth was surrounded by LEDs that were playing a movie on both sides. far away it looked like people were actually inside the movie...pretty cool.
High end car audio goodies are my specialty. I know I'm going to be one of the first to pick up Arc Audio's PS8 processor. I'll prolly sell my Bit One to someone in my audio group up here in the NW, uless someone on here wants it.
Clarion booth, check.

Clarion Hx-D3 .. it is really different from Hx-D2? .. I had hx-d2 and it was great
Also, if what Pioneer says it is true, gonna be awesome (decent sounding unit for under 500 bucks for an SQ 2way system)

Please, note.. the above Pioneer will support WAV format which is f..ing great!

The Lexus is better looking IMO, but after reading the article on Scott's car, that thing is a beast! In all ways....

^ Cool! Now I don't have to download more HD pics! Take a look at Bing Xu's recollection of CES. Bing is a cool cat. I met him at last year's CES and had a nice sit down with him while he was in the HAT suite this year.
There are several things in the report that aren't accurate especially regarding Hybrid Audio's future Legatia line subwoofer. JL will have NO influence on the design, manufacture...or anything else regarding the woofer. This is a purely Hubrid Audio transducer, no one elses. Scott is also seeing several patents on the piece as I type this.
As a matter of fact, I'll probaby one of the first on the West coast with one of the 13.5" woofers later this year.
Second is on the Arc Audio PS8. It will be released sometime in April. It promises to be very potent. Audison is also expanding it's Bit processor abilities with a mic pack that will allow for a more efficient "auto tune" and level/polarity match ability.

I was busy up in the suite playing with a pair of 4.5" speakers:

^Derick can probably back me up regarding the physical recording of this link. What we did was to park the camera less than 4" in front of the speaker in the BIB enclosure. The sound was recorded by an Audio Technica microphone being help up to the speaker just outside of the shot. This is the actual speaker's response you're hearing. We also had a soft light off to the left of the speaker to give a good gentle light.
You should have been in the suite while we were messing around with this. I was behind the bar and the acoustice loading where I was standing was simply incredible especially seeing as it was just a pair of L4 speakers.

Sorry, I am missing a point what is so special about this recording?
There is a bunch of 4 inch speakers out there that perform nicely in the 70-6000 hz range.. as one example Jamo c601.. awesome speakers .. these retail just around 300 for a pair

Umm...wow! Really? It's about the recording which has bass notes at 50 Hz and coupling with simply that pair of 4" speakers.
These speakers are playing 50 Hz all the way up to 17 kHz with no crossover and that is the actual speaker response you're hearing. The Jamos can't extend a frequency response like that. That is what's so special about them. If you were there you could have heard them for yourself. Come down to Vancouver WA and you'll hear them in person as soon as they arrive back from Las Vegas.
We even had the opportunity for a senior engineer from JM Labs who works in the Raven division of he company comment that he enjoyed the way the L4 and the BIB enclosures sounded. I, of course, don't have his card on me...it's at home. I'll put it on after work and the gym tonight.
His only real critique was to flip the enclosure and acoustically load the bass response. That's something I'll look in to.
So in other words I'll see your Jamo speakers and raise you with one less pair of tweeters at least as good of bass response, no crossover, and a focal engineer.

I can only say:
"I want a pair of L4s"!
I know what you mean, by playing 50Hz up, amazing!
