Hey gang.

I'm getting new speakers in my yaris shortly - and have been looking into a few different brands.

High on my list is the Dynaudio Esotec 242 2-way splits, but they use a 7" woofer with tweeter and crossover.

I know 6.5" can fit in the front of the Yaris, but does anyone know if it can accomodate 7" (an extra 1/2") without any fancy re-design work?

Thanks in advance!

I know for a fact that our doors will accommodate a 7.1" mid bass. Both Derick and I have accomplished that feat rather easily. There's no fancy redesign work. Just a little MDF and a jigsaw can do the trick.

Give me an hour or so, I'm at CES right now with the owner of Hybrid Audio Technologies...it's a little early but when we all get together for breakfast, I'll ask him who you can visit in Australia who is very knowledgable regarding this subject...seeing as he just returned from a sound quality summit in Australia last Friday.

In Perth go take a visit to mobile audio solutions. There's also a great contact in Brisbane if you want that as well.

Further to my post from a while ago, I'm now decided on the focal 165krx2 splits, which although only 6 1/2" in height are quite deep speakers.

Does anyone know what the maximum depth is in the Yaris doors or can tell me if they've managed to get these speakers into the Yaris?

Thanx in advance
