Since I recently totaled my 09 and soon getting an 08 Im goin to be starting from scratch and I thought this time around I'd start performance wise then work to the visual. So my question really is whats the best bang for your buck when it comes to cold air intakes and exhaust sytems? Ive bee looking around on car id and for cold air intake it looks like its either K&N or Weapon R what do you guys think?

thanks!

If you're looking for performance, and don't want to mess with the ECU, go for a final drive swap, lightweight crank pulley, rear sway bar, and performance tires. I'm avoiding the intake/exhaust headache until I can afford to do some engine management at the same time.

Final drive swap would probably be your best bet along with a lightened flywheel. Lighter rims/tires will help out too, not only in accelerating, but also braking and cornering. Lightweight crank pulley won't see much gains, especially if you don't have any other supporting mods. You won't really see much gains from an intake/header/exhaust, at least in terms of power/dollar (unless you get those for dirt cheap).

With all that said, I have a K&N SRI (intake tube wrapped in heat reflective material), 2.25" custom resonator back exhaust (definitely the wrong size for NA application), and, a lightened crank pulley. But I have heavy 17's with heavy tires, so my car feels slow =*(
