Greetings. My vehicle is an '07 Sedan. I might need to change my battery this weekend but it isn't so straight forward because I have a strut bar (TRD) covering it. Obviously I would like to avoid taking off and putting back on the strut bar. Does anyone have any recommendations that might help me? How have strut bar owners changed their battery? any wiggle room? ... Thanks!

Removing the intake air box will allow you to slide the battery forward. If you try that, cover one of the battery terminals (with electrical tape, etc) before sliding it to prevent shorting it to the strut bar.

Update: The battery comes out by moving it side to side. Unscrewing the clamps from the battery terminals takes a little care. This information might be useful to others.

wife's yaris wouldn't start this morning and i have the exact same issue with the strut bar. what's the best battery i can fit in it? I'm not concerned about price or weight, just the most cold cranking amps possible. If i recall correctly, last year i tried an optima red top and it didnt fit properly.
