I've had my yaris for a month now, and it's been flawless. We finally got snow where I live, so when I was in a parking lot, I tried to lock the brakes on the snow to see how the abs worked, as this is my first car with abs. What happened was I heard a metalic clicking from the front left wheel.
Is this normal, and if not any ideas what's going on ?

Thanks

If the pedal vibrated under your foot at the same time, yes. That's normal pulsing of the brakes to prevent or minimize lockup.

Yes..... the clicking sound from the left front was the result of that was the wheel that had the least tracton and kept locking up.

The ABS kept unlocking the LF it to prevent it fom locking up steady. In efffect, it was "pumping" the left front.
This is how it is designed to function.

Thanks for the reply. I thought something was wrong, as it sounded like metal clicking together. Now I know it's normal.
