Cracked Manifold

I went in to have my car checked because of a loud noise in right front. Was told I have a cracked manifold. The place I took the car said they had one other case and it was a Matrix with the same engine as my Yaris. Anyone hear anything about this and is it a manufacturer's defect?

No Matrix has the same engine as your yaris....

Intake manifold or exhaust manifold? If its the exhaust I have an extra one I can sell you very cheap.
