Abnormal click from braking?

Im new to posting on forums so bear with me. My boyfriend turns to forums often when he need help figuring out stuff with his truck, so I thought I should try giving this a try.

After putting my car into reverse (from either park or drive), after I have reversed as soon as I depress on the brakes I hear a single click coming from the rear of my car. It a common occurrence, but I've also noticed that its more common if Im turning the wheel while Im reversing.

Is this something that I should be concerned about, or is it common (because its driving me nuts)

I have a similar click.

I believe it is either from the front brake pads moving slightly in their holder, or from my aftermarket brake hose. The click started after I was down there messing around with a DIY brake fixing.

I don't worry about it.

mine does same thing too, when I stepped on the brake.

Mine doesn't do it, have you had your brake pads changed at some point?
Could be that your missing the shims that keep the pad in place on the calipers.
I believe the fronts are sliding calipers so require the shims to prevent movement of the pads.

I've recently had my breaks done and I personally installed the clips and shims myself. But the sound was there before I had the breaks done.

Also, the sound is coming from the rear of my car...

Get your handbrake cable and system checked out, it could be that the handbrake is not releasing the brake in the drums, thus causing the click you might be hearing as the main drum brakes engage when stopping the vehicle and releasing the sticking handbrake.
