my rental is a 2012 Hyundai Sonata! holy shit this car is amazing, last time I drove a hyundai was like 4 years ago and it was an older sonata and absolutely hated it but this new sonata is smooooth as butter to drive (ez merging and passing). Additionally it has alot of leg room in the back, has some nice aesthetics and the model i got has a nice technology (siriusxm radio, nice HUD) and power package, something that I don't have in my base yaris, sadly.

I had a 2011 Sonata 2.0T rental about a month ago. I was reasonably impressed with the power, but I should be seeing as how it it rated at the 287hp or 276, what ever it is. Still however the car to me felt like moving around a brick. Much better than other Hyundai's I have driven in the past. Like Laz has stated, apples and oranges to try and compare. You would need to make statements like that if you had a Camry.

maybe that was true for the older hyundais but hyundai definitely hit the sweet spot with their new line

Gotta test drive Hyundai and Mazda one day. See what the fuss is all about.

I've had a Tuscon since 2005 with no problems and have had two Elantra's prior with no problems. All well over 150,000 miles. Also, I think the only thing the OP was comparing was the power package difference.

I have a 2012 Kia Sorento for a rental while my Yaris is in paint...265hp FWD with VVTi(or whatever they call it). It's the faster crossover I've been in, it's also the first crossover I've been in. Lots of cool features like bluetooth, satellite radio, fold-down rear seating for an extra two people, 6 speed triptronic transmission, and it's pretty damned fast(although squirrelly as hell, torque steer like a mofo!).

Been turbo since June 2011. Not all cars do for me, but many do that is for sure. Our car is so small and nimble really.

I have had a couple Forte rentals and they seemed to be "ok", but haven;t rented the Sorento as of yet. My employer gets a little miffed when I always rent compacts or subcompacts. They think that it is because I am trying to save money when that is a side bonus. I just prefer the C and SC vehicles.

I reached 120 mph on the highway (4am going to work) and it was legit I think it took like 17 seconds with my foot to the floor. Probably could have hit higher but my exit was coming up.

just more stuff to break. ask owner's of older luxury cars how great bells and whistles are 10+ years down the road.

let's just say when I worked BMW parts, we had a LOT of 10-15 year old 5 series that came in, got estimates and magically appeared for sale the next day...

07 yaris, no a/c, no pl, no pw, no abs

not worth anything to resell it, so we'll hopfully keep it forever, hahaha
