just picked up some cheap seats off of craigslist, however they are a good deal more narrow than our seats. So, my idea is to keep the stock bracket and slider but have custom work done to make 4 (2 for each side) beams that go from left to right (if you are sitting in seat) that will be weight bearing.
I'm thinking it needs 4 holes:2 oustide holes to mount to oem bracket, and 2 inner holes (haha) to mount to the seat. One beam towards the front of the base of the seat, and one towards the rear.
Approximately 22" long and 2" wide...now here is the real question, How thick? .25"? .5"? anyway, any input/advice would be great.

I moved my seats on a 4dr liftback 3 1/2" back. Made solid steel brackets out of 1/2" thick x 2" wide steel bar. 16" long. Drilled holes (elongated) to use the OEM bolts to bolt the bars down. Drilled new holes to mount the seats. Works like a charm.
If you need longer metric bolts, they are available at Ace Hardware. At least that is where I got mine.

So your seats are stationary? Seems like you didnt use stock sliders or brackets like I'm planning, so you won't be able to move seat? If thats true, then I can't do that mine being a 2 door and all. But thanks for info, ill have a back up plan.
I'll try to post pics of seats soon. Just some universal I picked up off Craigslist. They are a good bit more narrow though. Also trying to keep stock seat belt for time being. I have a plan worked out and when i put it together ill post it.

Yeah, after seeing that, I bent it right back in to place but it felt adjustable. They look pretty good for $150

but yeah deff good deal
I'm using the wedge engineering seat brackets with the add on adjustable height option... Even on the highest setting, it's still pretty low ... I'm 5'8 by the way ...

How much were they and where did you get them from?
I believe I spent around $250?? I forgot ... It's been a while ... Garm actually the one that hooked me up with them so I'm pretty sure if he has their number still.
