I drive a 4 door, 2010 yaris sedan. I bought it used back in july 2011 with 36,000 miles on it. The milage is a little high, but ive changed the oil twice now, about every 5-6,000 miles. Now that im at 50k, what is some basic maintence that I need to do? Filters, alignment, tires, tire rotatiin, etc. I dont know what the maintence history was like before I bought it, so thats why im asking. Thank you in advance and I look forward to coming to this forum often!

Ps- I also own a tacoma, any suggestions on informative forums such as this one?

My 07 sedan has almost 100,000 miles and I haven't had to do much more than oil changes. I did change the plugs around 80,000 but that was just to do something, it didn't need to be done yet. You can probably change the ATF fluid/gear oil, air filter, and you'll be all set. Keep doing your oil changes and it's a pretty hassle free car.
If you have the owners manual, it will tell you recommended maintenance. Usually oil change, filter change, inspections of fluid levels, brakes, etc.

I'd probably Seafoam it, change the oil, do a tire rotation, an alignment, change the intake and cabin filters (can really just make your own cabin filter), re-lube the hinges on the doors/trunk/hood, and change your tranny lube/fluid (mt/at). Might want to change your wiper blades too (just buy the inserts from the dealership).

I changed my spark plugs around 73k, but that was just preference and not necessarily needed. Also, look under your hood to see if there is a line of coolant spray under the passenger side of the hood and report back to us.

Hi Nightman_Cometh
Go into the sticky thread "All Maintenance Required Based on Mileage Intervals"
Go to entry #7 (Ryu) and click on the underlined file at the top on the entry.
Fill in the info requested and this will give you Toyota Canada's maintenance schedule.
Just remember that 8000 Kilometres is equal to 5000 Miles.
Put in your info for your Tacoma and you will get a maintenance schedule for it too.
