Yes it does help with the performance especially when you have hid kits installed I have to burn a ballast and two bulbs before I put one on I guess toyotas have issues with circulating electricity around. :)

yes it help keeping the car to run smoothly if there's a proper grounding for the car. also check also all ground points for any loose bolts.

I did not feel this was 100% necessary, but I thought it cant hurt, so why not. So I went into my box of odds and ends wires, found some nice 10 gauge and went to town!
Well its funny, but the car is smoother. I'm sold! But I would not waste money on a goofy looking kit, when a handful of wire and some loops will run you less than $5.
Here's mine. It starts at the battery ground, then to the CPU, then right side tower(because of the available treaded hole), then a wire into the cab, to the crash bar, and one to the alt mount.

That's pretty cool -- if you're going to do one, it is pretty easy to make. I think the kits look a little prettier, but your DIY way is far cheaper than what we sell.

If I can make my own for around $15 bucks I will do it. I get static shock from time to time, and my idle goes down when I roll my window down or up, plus running a (small) 400w amp. I'm sure extra grounding should help me out some how. LOL

Got 12ft of 8 gauge wire that's heat resistant, and gasoline/oil proof, and 10 gold plated ring terminals for about $15. So gonna ground some points tomorrow.
