Ok ladies and gents, one of the Yaris lease is coming to an end soon.

I been have some strong thoughts about just turning it in and continue with a 2012 Camry in same color (black) with all the sport package.

Today I was at the dealershit and I looked at 3 of them and must say I want it even more, the car was around $32,000. I am really cool with the manager and manager of collision center there and they where both encourage me to take a spin on one, but I know the minute I sit in that car I will more likely will try to get it.

So I am turning to you guys to help me out in making a decision, I'd ask to not tell me what you want me to do but what YOU would do.

I do love my car if yall still wounder

If you really want the Camry, go with the Camry if it's in your budget.

Otherwise...just keep the Yaris.

Very personal question obviously...A lot depends on whether you're looking at moving up.
A few years ago I'd turn the Yaris in and go with the Camry. In fact I have done almost that - traded the 05 Vibe for a midsize. I wanted the car to reflect better where I am in life. God, did I regret doing that. Sure, I've gotten a bigger car and whatnot, but it ended up boring and pointless. Not worth the extra money imho.

So, if I was in your shoes today I'd keep the Yaris. Cars that you just love don't come around very often. If you got one, hang on to it :)
Getting another one and keeping the Yaris....It's kinda weird. Unless you have a family member that will drive the Yaris.

I keep the Yaris because IMO, a yaris type car (small, cheap, gas saver) is a must-have in any household, you never know which way the economy will shift. As for buying a new Camry, I would wait until I needed one ie family needs, otherwise it's too much car.

mmm.. yes, I must say if I were in your shoes... I'd keep the yaris. Pay it off. and lease a camry in a couple years... One regret I have is selling my 89 crx on craigslist.. I still look to see if its up for grabs..

In my opinion, in terms of family needs, a midsize sedan is not a good option. It's significantly more money, it's bigger and more spacious, but this space is not where it should be for max practicality. I think a compact wagon like Matrix is more practical or any of the compact suvs.
So, to me a midsize like Camry is neither here nor there. Neither a minivan with huge cargo room nor a fun to drive sports compact (both can be had for 32 grand easily)

Well it's just me and my wife right now, no kids,I am 27.
I have done so much to the yaris I would hate to part out or turn it as is. As to getting a extra car, well is really what I want I guess, already have a 97 del sol do that's my project right now, I'd would consider the yaris done i like it how it sits. I just like how that Camry looks specially the OEM wheels

Why would you want to spend 32K on a car when you could spend about 18K
on a car that would do the same job?
You could take the difference and buy GOLD and have something for your future or your childrens future.

Camrys are pretty boring soft riding cruisers. Pretty sure it will lose it's appeal after a few months of driving. Besides imagine how much you can do for your Yaris and Del Sol for half of that money. A tubo build for example ;)

AHHH another fellow Del sol owner as well.... your yaris looks good, after the money you dumped into it, think about how you would lose in the long wrong. as for the del sol, is it a vtec model or just a regular SI or S model ? either way its always fun having a drop top, i almost sold my del sol so i could buy the yaris.

i was lucky enough to keep the del sol and still be able to buy my 2012 yaris. if you were to sell the del sol im sure you probably could get more money privately selling then trading in. Also keep in mind, a brand new camry is nice looking but remember, its just a nice looking groucery getter. good luck in whatever decision you make

i would keep the yaris and let the del sol go ..since you spent all the money in the yaris already and it's a newer car and look good too.

Camry ....naaah , you'll be bored within week once you buy it... nothing special beside it's bigger in size.

Agree, as a SrA you don't need payments on a $32K car. Your Yaris sedan will last you for several more years and even if you and your wife start having kids it will work.

As for the del sol, with increasing gas prices now (or the near future) might be the best time to sell it.

45587I know what you're going thru, you maybe 'tired' of your yaris now, it's nice btw  but don't give up on it, it's a fun car, later as you grow old, turn it back to stock and you have a pratical car, trust me B-segment is the future

Seeing what you have done with your 2 cars I say keep the Yaris and absolutely keep the Del Sol. These two look like a lot more fun than a camry. You will absolutely get bored with a camry, no questions about it. If you get some extra dough that you absolutely must spend, boost the yaris or paint the del sol.

On a side note, when/if you have one or two kids you will still be fine with your little fleet. Just don't buy these dumbass huge strollers that don't fit anywhere but a mid-size suv. Trust me, kids won't care, you won't care:)

I would rent a Camry for a few days from Hertz or something. I am really willing to bet that after that you will just want to keep the Yaris. I have had a few of them over the last year as rentals and even though I love Toyota I am glad as well that when I bought my Yaris back in 06 I didn't get the Camry now. They feel bland to drive and boring even. I be damned if someone can honestly call a personalized Yaris boring, where you prolly could call a personalized Camry boring ya dig?

I would buy a used camry, just as boring and way cheaper haha..Jk..and for 32k I would just get a used Lexus GS or IS, but if I put that much into my yaris would not let it go.

Man as much as you've went through to work on that car I just don't think I could let it go if I was in your position. I plan to keep my Yaris till it won't run anymore, then either do an engine/tranny swap or fill it with tannerite and let a .30-06 send it to the great racetrack in the sky.

I say keep it, if you want something else later just save up for it and buy it.

I would have never leased in the first place. I wouldn't make the same mistake twice. I would keep the Yaris with the loan and figure out how much the car it actually cost. When the time came to get the car I want I would figure out the least expensive way to do it.

good choice, your car is pretty awesome, and anything the camry has you can put in your yaris for a lot less money.
