My girlfriend and I are coming up to Allentown in March from the 23rd to the 30th. Going to visit her family and take a day trip to NYC. Wondering if there is anything going on while we are there.

What do you want to do and see?

Too early for any car shows. Those are typically from May through October.
March is kinda dead in this area...

Apparently there is a Street Rod show in Philadelphia the weekend we get there. Probably going on Saturday (24th)
Walking down 5th ave in Manhattan should take care of all your shopping needs. That or anything within a five block radius of Prince St and Broadway
You'll need to be more specific about the type of food :)

^ i second the Soho area (prince st and broadway) and raise you Century21 by the WTC site. :)
Lunch needs to be at Parisi's Bakery

Get their chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers on a round semolina with a touch of balsamic vinegarette. Under $10 and it'll feed a small family

Thanks for the insight. Will have to try and stop at a few of these places.
Panoramic outside view of the whole city can be had at 'top of the rock'. Buy a ticket for the observation deck up the Rockefeller building. It's worth it near sunset on a clear day
