2007 Sedan Window Seal

Ok so here's my problem, basically the window felt on the outside ripped off and there is just a big gap down into the door. We live in AZ and aparently sitting outside in the sun all day the Yaris dosent have high enough quality rubber? So basically I am looking for the toyota part number to the window felts. :iono: I would really like my windows and power locks to work while its raining :confused: I will get some pictures up tomorrow of what im looking for. Thank You

Would these part numbers be the same for my 2007 LB?

Bonus points for recommending a good supplier as mine are already badly split and falling apart.

Edit: Looks like the repair manual refers to this as front door belt moulding? That sound right? It didn't list part numbers in the repair description however...

For a 3 door LB the part number are:

LH: 68210-52130
RH: 68160-52130

Is this a known thing on the Yaris or what? It's the first car I've owned for any sort of duration and didn't know if it was just natural for the material to degrade and fail in this climate/timespan but I hated to see it coming, slowly but surely, apart...

Is this the same as the door belt molding scott? I need the part number for this as mine was under a failed theft attempt last night and this strip was cut..

Edit:So this indeed the belt molding. So does it mean that this due to the weather and not a theft atempt? I live in a tropical country.

I have te exact same problem on my 2010 Yaris! And I live in AZ too!!!
The sun is just too much for them down here.

I ordered the part and was just checking Yaris world for some advice before I go out and try to replace this thing.

We have the parts, but now need to know how to change them out. Is there a video or website with directions? I drive a 2007 Yaris 2D HB.

I'm new, I admit it!
I just posted a request for a video or website to change out the outer belt molding for my Yaris, but I haven't a clue where it posted. So if you see me twice, I am truly sorry for that.

Does anybody have some advice for how to replace these moldings on my car?

Glad I'm not the only one with this issue.

How difficult is this part to change? I have some friends who are pretty handy with cars, I'd prefer to pay them to do it rather than a ton on labor at a garage.

youd probably get to destroy the old one as it clips on the inside of the outer metal of the door, unless you unhook from the inside (you have to take off your interior door panels)

the new one just snaps on in maybe 5-10sec.

My BF was able to change it for me with no issues, pulled the old one out and the new one slid right in. Got the part from the dealership for about $20.

These parts are for toyota yaris sedan.
Fits my 2007 yaris sedan base.
Also they should fit many other years as well.

This was the cheapest i could find $62.98 for four belt moldings.
This includes shipping.
There was no tax involved.

Have one flat head and screw driver.

A socket wrench number ten

Look up toyota echo outer windoe seal or belt mount.

It is really easy to install new ones.

For the front two doors you need to take off the side mirrors.
Because the side mirrors hold the whole belt molding together from the ouside.
And to take off the side mirrors you need to pop the interior panel of the door.
to reach the three screw nut. In my pic i show only two there are actually three.

I know this sounds hard but it's really not. Ill add pics.

The rear side windows are even easier.
All you have to do is just rip them off from the outside of the door.

And pop the new ones in.

This is for the sedan version.
Windows must be all the way down.

Be careful don't drop anything in the door.
If you do drop something in the doors you'll have to rip some plastic shield.
