Problem - don't like the rims on my 08 Yaris made for young guys like ya'll not me.
Tire size 215/35R 18 + Liquid Metal Rims
I want to get rid of these 18 in rims and go to a regular rim and tire setup - that said the rims do make the car as far as looks go.

Rational 1.) I am older and really don't want these rims (I didn't buy them they came on the car) reason being I simultaneously cut both front tire sidewalls when I hit one of those steel plates that is used to cover huge holes in the road. Didn,t really know about these extremely low profile tires and their propensity get creamed by normal road obstacles. I can't afford to replace tires every time I hit a normal road obstacle.

I would appreciate any guidance - suspension looks stock to me BTW.
I need to emphasize that I need an inexpensive solution - would trade for other rims or sell - just hate the thought of having to buy tires constantly.

Many here will agree with you, 18" wheels on a Yaris os

For the most inexpensive solution? Post on Craigslist for a trade to 15" stock wheels and tires. Be sure the bolt pattern is 4x100.

The other choice is to buy 15" steel wheels with tires (many smaller cars are 4x100, but check to make sure) and sell your 18" wheels on Craigslist. I'm sure there are buyers if the price is right.

Good luck.

it depends on the offset of the rims. My yaris came with the 18" TRD's and the same size tires as yours. with 2 ppl inside the car, it scrape the plastic cover on the front fender on bumps.

for a cost effective down the road, smaller rims with a thicker tires are the better option, they are a lot cheaper and a lot more comfort compare to the bigger one.

since you don't like the bigger rims, you can try to sell it . It may take a hit on the price, since a lot of ppl don't like bigger rims on yaris...

post a picture or two , detail spec on the rims and also the tires will help.

IMO 16 are perfect for a DD. Before lowering I ran 195/50 on 16" and never scrubbed. After lowering I had to roll the fenders, but if you're running stock suspension you won't have any problems with 16s. Or if you feel like going back to the factory 15" that'll work too of course.

the ride sucks on 18" rims and 35 series tires you could not give me a set took me two years to switch from a 15" momo wheel to a 17" momo wheel cuz the bigger the rim and the lower profile tire ride goes to shit some might like it but not for me and a yaris thats loud inside to begin with but i have fixed the ride noise best i can

I have 195/50/16 :D

In my opinion... 16'' is the best size for a Yaris :)
