Two questions:

I would like to give myself a little more leg-room in my 2009 3-Door. I looked at the seat rail but I don't see a way that I can remove a stop and push the seat further back. Nor does it seem that I can move the rail position back, because it sits on raised posts.

Is it possible to lengthen the front rail bolts and put in spacers so that the seat tilts back further in the front, raising my knee position? I did this successfully in a Miata. Has anyone tried this in a Yaris?

If I manage to get further back from the pedals, I will then have the issue of being too far back from the wheel. Has anyone tried putting a spacer behind the wheel to extend it out farther into the cabin? I've seen this done in pre-airbag cars, but not in airbaggers. I assume that an airbag would be the limiting factor?

Thanks,

I added a few washers beneath the rear track bolts to slightly raise the rear of the seat. It removed enough pressure under my fat legs. You should be able to add washers beneath the front track bolts to raise the front and hopefully improve your situation also.

Thanks, Birdman. Did the washers significantly change the angle of the bolts so that it was necessary to widen the rail bolt-holes?
