View Full Version : ANYONE LOOKING FOR TIRES
I was just browsing Ebay and saw an add for Discount Tire Direct through ebay. Looks like ebay is testing a beta version of some kind of online tire store and by going through DTD is offering $100 gift cards on select tire purchases. There are a lot of options so if you are looking for tires now may be the time to buy.
I just bought my tires through MI so I cant take advantage

Yep, just saw that too. Even though this kills my business, what a great deal. $100 VISA gift card for tire purchases through 3/25/2012.
Here's the fine print: http://parts.motors.ebay.com/eboxapps/DTD_Ebay_100_Fulfillment_0316-0325.pdf

I know that with what Jeff quoted me at MI this still really isn't a "deal" per se on what I am looking to purchase...interesting.

I had a similar deal this winter: a local company was able to get me a better deal on my X-Ice 2's, including shipping, than Discount Tire could do with a $70 Visa rebate card. Definitely going to price summer tires through them this month. Oh, and supporting local/independent business is very important to me.

Nah, I'm taking a road trip in May, I wanted to make sure I have some new rubber for it....other than that, everything else will probably wait until I get back. I did actually get one new item...Delrin shift knob from MI. Maybe another small thing here or there, nothing big though for at least a few months.
I would have preferred to get these through MI, but Jeff said he couldn't compete with DTD on their price, even before the rebate card...
With my wholesale pricing, I am able to compete against their prices well. But usually not within $100. If I was making over $100 profit per sale I'd be rolling in the dough.

Booo, no 18's!
330H, what lines do you carry? Specifically summer in 215/35-18.
I went with some S drives which dont even qualify and I got a good deal on them through Jeff. I am happy to support MI and am appreciative of Jeff taking the time to talk to me and help me get exactly what I wanted.

I carry about any brand you could possibly want, I think within the lines of 60 different tire brands and 80 or so wheel brands.

I just bought the 195 55 15 hankook ventus v2's. $210 for all 4(after rebate) is pretty damn good. Thanks 1.5 for sharing the info with us.
