Mags with factory nuts?

The title says it all, i bought new wheels they are Konig Britelight and i was so happy about it that i installed them with the stock nuts. The guy who sold me the mags told me that i needed some "tuner nuts".

Is he right or can i just ride with the factory nuts holding them?

Im pretty sure a nut a nut and i dont really NEED em but you know i needed to ask you guys because you must know waaaay more than i do on that subject.

I would highly recommend getting new nuts. The rusty, hard steel stock nuts will chew the shit out of the seat of your new Konigs. Not to mention looking like shit.

First off, if it's a Yaris, you have studs and nuts, not bolts.

If you have wheels with conical holes, and you are using flat lug nuts, that is incorrect, and can be dangerous. I would get a car home like that, but no more.

"Tuner" nuts are sometimes the word used for conical lug nuts.
Further, do you have the correct ring inserts to fit the wheels to your 54.1mm hub openings?

I think OEM wheels (steel) have conical holes and OEM nuts are perfectly ok for aaftermarket alloy wheels with conical holes.

I bought my aftermarket wheels from a local vendor who installed them using some cheap looking tuner nuts.. the only problem seems that I also use the mcgard secure nuts which look heavier than "tuner" nuts

quality wise oem nuts look better than tuner nuts

Finally i bought some "tuner nuts", i was told that my oem nuts we're as good as any "tuner nuts". Except for the look of course, I would have rocked the rusty,bad looking nuts but i got some lock nuts, so 1 chrome and 3 rusted wasnt looking right.
I bought myself 12 chromes ones so it would blend all together.

I wouldn't trade my Muteki SR35 12X1.5 NEO Chrome Open End lugs for anything that I have come across so far. They are light, safe, and strong. They are also approved by the Land Speed Run safety commission for up to 200mph.

You're correct, the OEM lugnuts are conical. I run standard OEM lugnuts on aftermarket wheels currently. I have "tuner" lugnuts too, just aren't using them on this set as I love to use my impact gun to change wheels out (turned down to 90 ft. lbs. of course.)
