Question for the Yaris Wisemen

I know that my 09 Yaris has a cabin filter. Does anyone know if my USA 07 Yaris hatchback has a cabin filter?:confused: Both are doing well and are good cars:thumbup:.

If you've never put one in, then the spot is probably empty.

My 2007 had the compartment for a Cabin Filter in the blower assembly, but shipped from the Factory without one installed.

I don't think that anyone on here definitively knows whether or not you have a cabin air filter, because we can't look at it and see. But, you can.

Just follow these instructions (http://yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37804&highlight=cabin+air+filter) (they're for a sedan, but the concept is virtually the same) and you'll be in the know! :thumbsup:

Not understanding this question.

If you KNOW your 09 has the cabin filter then you have seen it for yourself.

If you do not know whether or not your 07 has one, then looking to see if it does would seem to answer your question with 100% certainty.

I was under the impression that NO Yaris shipped to the US with a cabin air filter. I could be wrong about this though.

My '09 didn't have one. Only the spot for it. I just put one in last week actually, because the pollen here is absolute hell. Pull the glovebox door off, the white box where the CAF goes is right there in front of you. Slide the door off and I think you can draw your conclusions from there. :biggrin:

My 2009 didn't come with one either. I likewise believe that none of these cars are shipped to the US with one installed.

As an aside, the owner's manual that comes with your car has a description and diagrams that show to to install the cabin air filter. It's super easy to do, and it takes just a couple of minutes.

Put one in my 08 myself first thing. Murfreesboro is an allergy haven, and that little thing helps like crazy.

My 2008 did not have one. I bought it used, so I can't say for sure, but I doubt it ever had one in it.
