Let me tell you, this system is sweet. One mile range- car nice and toasty before getting in. Worth every cent.

Take a look:

Hot stuff, piece of mind and comfort- only in a Yaris!

Will that setup work with a manual transmission model?

I have a steelmate w remote start and it does not transmit from the remote to the car inside a building but the transmission from the car to the remote is very strong. Also yo have to be carefull if you let the car in shift...

There are options to not let the car start if it is in gear. This is possibly the SMARTEST move a car owner can make. Remember, you're protecting your investment! Will this absolutely stop a thief from breaking into your car? No. But it'll give them something to think about when they smash your window and start rifling through your stuff, tearing apart your dash for the radio...and then they hear the "chunk-chunk" of a Remington slide action shotgun.

How? because your car told you it was being broken into. Personally, I never go to the mall myself anyway...I have had two occasions where my responder has alerted me. I was out by that car within 10 seconds each time.

I would not think twice about seriously hurting a thief either. This is something I would gladly serve time for...if I had to.

Compustar now has the responder with the longest range.

i'm running the clifford matrix 12.5x system. i love it. it's only got a 1/4 mile range but i tested it the other day from inside walmart. mind you i park way out in the parking lot because i don't want any chump dinging my doors (and it's good exercise to walk a few extra feet too) and i was able to de-alarm and re-alarm the car from the electronics section in the back of the store. i've also tested it from the 8th floor at my work and it works fine when i am near any glass windows.

kick ass!

I used to sell these a while ago. The 1 mile only works if you are in a remote area (middle of nowhere) with no trees, buildings, antennas or anything of the sort if that. The most you will get is 1/4 mile. It's the same exact thing as the Clifford Matrix as DEI bought them out years ago (same remote too). When DEI first released these systems, I got one in my first 240 (Viper 790) .. worked great until the brain went bad a few years later. A buddy of mine that used to own a shop still has accounts so I'm looking to pickup 2 Matrix's if the prices are right. 1 for the Yaris and the other for the current 240.

I had the 5900SST installed on my '07LB last October. Very nice system indeed. When in inside a building or somewhere with lots of stuff between me and my Yaris, the responder's range is about a 1/4 of a mile. Still very nice to know if someone is breaking into my car.
