I have used the search on this forum for any info. I have found none.

These come in 15", and look pretty sweet.

Will these fit the stock rubber and just "bolt right on"?

These look so sweet. (http://www.blog.enkei.com/enkei-apache-2-wins-global-media-award-at-sema/comment-page-1/)

I am really itching for some alloys that are four-spoke, take the stock rubber, are light, and are symmetrical.

EDIT: I'm sick of all this waiting. I just ordered a set of 10-spoke, machined aluminum Toyota OEM alloys (http://www.trdparts4u.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-5875) for my car. I know they will fit, won't fracture easily like all these Chinese-made wheels, and will last for the life of the car (provided I don't curb them, which I will not!).

There, I feel better now.

I will post pics in a week when I have them mounted.

FWIW Enkei are made in Japan, not China

Those enkei are super sweet but pricey. The 15x7 +38 will fit no prob and with the right tires those 15 x8+25 should fit as well. The 0 offset will give you issues without modification.

If your tires are the 186/60 those should fit on both wheels but may be a heavy stretch on the 8" wheels.

If you don't plan to lower than almost anything could fit

I miscommunicated. I have just read a few too many stories of alloy wheels whose production was outsourced to China--with horrible results.

I dare not take a chance at 65-70mph with the joys of wheel separation.

Besides, I'd rather not deal with spacers, offset, and all that other nonsense. Call it what you will.

Heavy as they are, I can't wait to get my OEM alloys.

Those enkei are super sweet but pricey.

This bears repeating. However, they are supposed to be 18lbs. each! For the kind of cheddar they want, these things should be perhaps 15lbs. a corner.

But yes, they are so sweet, and would look boss on the '12 Yaris.

But I'm fed up with overpriced (for the weight and lack of durability many times) wheels that I fear will not fit.

It's done. I've ordered them, and they will be shipped at 9AM today.

I can't wait.

Question: how much $$$, how difficult, and how long does having the TPMS "recoded" take at the stealership?

Any rough estimates?

I've been burned by 3rd-party shops with my older car in the past, and don't want them ruining my brand new car. Yes, I will pay more, but I know it will (in theory) be done right the first time.

I dont think that is a legit concern with enkei's. Anyways congrats on the purchase cant wait to see pics.

I'm a dealer for Enkei. They have different divisions for what you are looking for. All of their wheels are durable, so quality is not an issue. But if you want lightweight, you use their Performance or Racing Series. If you want cheap and looks for daily drivers, you use their Tuning Series.

These are not lightweight simply because they are not meant to be. It's an oldschool design that many people were asking for, and are used on show cars mostly. Weight really isn't an issue.

Nope. Made in China, at least according to TireRack.com.

I dont know how these would even look on a Yaris. I am thinking more like a old school 180z or something.

They will fit, but depending on how low you are, you'll have some rubbing. Also, 60 series tires won't really stretch much either.

Not all Enkei wheels are manufactured in Japan. They manufacture in Japan, North America, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Philippines, India, and Vietnam.

I wonder if the 12s can handle lower offset than us.

why?
03-28-2012, 05:05 PM
those things are wicked sexy. Never mind a nissan they would look great on an 82 Supra. now to just convince my father that the stock wheels have to be ditched for him to get some decent tires... are these things that pricey?

I can sell them for $541.80 per set + shipping, they're not that highly priced. This is for the 15x7 +38 in silver or black.

About the same cost as Rota's.

shipping would be like what 100+? unles you have some kind of merchant contract with a courrier service.

Seeing how heavy they are, I'd guess $70-$90 for shipping anywhere in the Eastern US. I do have discounts through UPS and Conway Freight.

So on the high end youre looking at under 700 shipped thats really good for any set of enkei's.

Yeah definitely not more than $700 shipped - I would think closer to $650 shipped. I don't think that's pricey at all - but then again I'm kind of a wheel connoisseur haha.

Keep your fingers crossed: not all Toyota OEM rims are made in Japan. I have a set of the Scion OEM 7-spoke and they had Made in Taiwan stickers on them...

18lbs isn't really that heavy. Or is there anything else in the 4 spoke design that looks similar but weighs a ton less?

I just wish they were lighter than the steelies at 12lbs. (?)

As they say "If wishes were horses, we'd all drive Ferraris."

Steelies are typically 1lb/inch + 1 lb.

So 15's are 16lbs...

I was told on this forum, that they were around 16lbs. a corner. (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38025&page=2)

If my new OEM wheels are even an ounce lighter than the steelies, then they will be worth it to me.

Problem is, I have looked everywhere on this forum, and cannot find the weight of these 15in. OEM 10-spoke aluminum wheels (http://www.toyota-parts.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-312) that I ordered a couple of days ago.

I asked the guys who sell these on the website, and they have no clue.

I have also not even once seen these on Yaris World. If anyone can tell my anything about these wheels (weight-wise), I would love to know!

I got them today via FedEx. I have work soon, but I will post pics when I get off work.

Oh, the wheels are "MADE IN USA", and weight 18lbs. on my analog bathroom scale.

18 lbs each for skinny 15's? Yikes. I bet they'll look good though. And I'm not one to talk - my wheels weigh 28.3 lbs each. :)

What the F$#@?! How can that car move with such heavy wheels? Are they made of lead? Are they 32inches?! Damn.

Here are mine...I just wish they were lighter than the steelies, but oh well. At least they look sweet. Oh, and $590, shipped to my door! I cannot complain!!! I only got three of four in the FedEx shippment because one was damaged before being sent out from the dealership I ordered these from. The last wheel should be here by Monday, at the latest.

Inside of the rim says "15x6 +40". These will fit the stock rubber, right?

I'll get them put on sometime this week, but I have an exam to take online in a few...so seeya guys!
