Yea I know, and I hate it. I tried to fix it but I can't seem to find where the cord starts at, so I'am gonna let the dealership fix it for me when I bring it in for an oil change or maybe when I get it lowered (thinking about May, the price to get it lowered by toyota is a bit expensive).

The actual rolling diameter of the 14's and 15's is pretty close due to the different profile tires used. No one really NEEDS to lower their car for the street, however you will WANT to lower it for the looks, and better handling. I convinced my "accountant" I NEEDED the lowering kit for "SAFETY" reasons.
Accident avoidance is a serious issue, and I am better prepared to deal with it.

You got that right. I was able to drive both standard and lowered versions, the difference in cornering and braking was very noticeable. Ride quality doesn't seem to suffer either, and since it is a Toyota part ..... no effect on the warranty. Seems like WIN WIN WIN to me. Of course if you are going racing .............

White is definitely the way to go!
And lowering it is a very good idea. I have 1.7" drop Spirit Springs from Revspot. Handles well and not overly stiff.

hey ricko, not a big fan for lowering springs. don't really think and 1 inch well make the difference. Also i'll never really use them for what there made for. Yes mine does have the leather interior still waiting to see if other have this. as foir the snow, not much longer since i'll be moving to toronto in summer. so i'll see how the winter are there.

Winters in Toronto are not a problem. They get a fraction of the snow Montreal gets. Most of my friends in the GTA don't even own snow tires. As for the springs, I did it for the looks more than the performance and your car does look great as it is.

Well the day had to come eventually. This morning I picked up my 2007 Toyota Yaris 3-DR RS in Polar White. I have tint, lowering springs and the Borla exhaust.. I have to say that the Borla was a huge surprise, it's a very nice sounding exhaust. Anyways, here are some pics...

35% all around... I use to love the dark tints, but with this car and this color... i think the lighter is a better match.

I agree with your choice of tint. It looks great! About the exhaust ........ is it an entire system or a partial???? It's not the TRD system is it???? Sorry, I'm not up on performance exhaust systems.

The exhaust is a axle back Borla, it replaces the stock unit. It's got a real nice deep rumble. Other than that I haven't thought about changing the spoiler yet because I think that without the proper body kit, or lip accents that the rally spoiler would be too much....

Thanks the info R. I agree with you about the spoiler. It's all about balance. Without a front lip or spoiler, too much at the back doesn't look right. I really like the TRD front spoiler, available in stock colours on the Aussie parts list.

I Was a bit concerned at first, as you know the higher (K) you go, the less "useable light" you actually have.

i have the lights, but i cant put then on cuz the plug for the stock lights were different, how did u get them on??

hey ricko, not a big fan for lowering springs. don't really think and 1 inch well make the difference. Also i'll never really use them for what there made for.

Yes, 1" lower in the front WILL make a difference. It stiffens a lot the front sway bar :wink:. Just don't lower more than 1" and stay away from stiff springs. I've put Tanabe NF210 in front (while keeping original springs in back) and the handling is much improved, as well as the steering is. I'd say, the car is now what it should have been.

No problem Bucky, I like the TRD all over just because it makes the car look cool, and since it's Toyota and all... I can say to those who ask what's TRD on my car that the valve springs are, just to mess with them. Anyway, those that might consider it a problem must be so much into that stuff that they're not cool in my book, so... Who cares! :thumbdown: I love my car, chicks really dig it, and that's the perfect mix right there!:thumbsup:

hey, just wondering how much you payed to gert the front painted . i wanted that before i even bought the car :)


Lets see, it was about $3.95 for a can of Satin Black Rust-O-Leum, another3-4 dollars for masking tape, .50 cents for the LA Times (to finish masking for overspray, could have bought paper but it costs a lot more), and about $4.00 for the layout tape to get the round edges and precise masking.

I did it myself and its kinda ghetto, but I shaved my lic plate holes and plan on shaving a lot more stuff off the front bumper in the future... so its like that temporarily til I get my bumper shaved to the point where it can be re-painted again.

Trust me, it will look a lot worse once I start doing the rest of the bodywork to that bumper.

I love all your White Yaris rides. I just picked mine up 1 week ago from Toyota in Bellevue, WA. Traded in my Corolla. So glad I did. I'm having so much fun with this car. It turns so many heads. But I don't think people know quite what it is. I think the front end looks a lot like a Lamborghini Galardo's. Such a hot car, it reminds me of the craze over MR2's when they first came out in the mid 80's. I ended up owning a MR2 years later and just sold it last summer. Toyota's are cool cars. Hope you like my white Yaris. The day after I picked it up I put 17 inch raceline wheels on with 215/40/17 tires. My calls the car Zorro. I'm still looking for a nickname that fits better. Zorro for now. My corolla was black and my kids called it the "Nightrolla". Any ideas on cool names. I'm thinking about having the windows tinted 35% all around. I don't want black 20%. I'd probably get pulled over plus I'm a professional 35 year old husband, and Father of two who just likes bling in his ride but not all the kid stuff. Enjoy your rides!

YES my yaris is a rs canadian model and it come with the side skirt.my tire are 205 40 zr 17 and my springs are the tanabe df210 1.8 rear/1.6 front and i really enjoy it but here in alberta we dont have nice road like u guy s in usa that s why next summer ill go for a ride in california and ill try to go for a meet!
