Rear combination lights Vitz RS to ordinary Yaris

So as the topic suggests, does anybody know if the Vitz RS rear combination lights fit in to the ordinary yaris, or do you have to make a costum job or anything similar to make them fit to the bumper, or is it a no go at all?

If you mean the led tailights from the RS version, then yes. They will fit, but connector may not be the same.....

For our generation cars, 06-08 used a different connector. 09-11 used same connector as RS model for led tails and regular tails.

Need more clarity from the OP. His details state he drives a 2012. In which case there is no cross-year compatibility.

I was at the Toyota center and the guy on spare parts told me that the Vitz Rs uses the same structure since 12/2010 => and we looked at the PC and this was the article number for the Vitz RS the 2012 one
81550-52841 I could take a picture with the phone, not sure it would be that great and upload it.

But he did tell me there might be a problem fitting them, he is not sure, as he cannot get hold on that information he says, due to that in Japan they have TRD he said, and in europe Toyota Motorsport ( don't know if he was lazy or if he was telling me the truth ) that's all the info he gave me.
And that's all the info I have to go on :-/.

Not sure if they are led, they are far more appealing to me than the ones I have on my yaris atm, but it's the 2012 Vitz rear combination lights aye

In japan, 2012 vitz is announced as 2010-2011 model. Don't ask me why, but that's what sellers go by there and same for 2009-2011 yaris hatchback models = 2008 in japan.

The spare parts seller til me the same about year range that's what he typed in the paper I will upload about the taillight with all the components when I get home tonight

im sure it'll fit. the connectors MAY be different. You have a choice between the RS and the G's version (black housing) LED tails.

So these are the pictures I got off the toyota center.

Was pretty unwise to not get a picture off the ordinary yaris as well, would probably have figured out if the connector was the same.. guess by Tuesday I will go get a new one for the ordinary yaris, like said, the only thing that bothers me is , if the connector may not fit but Im sure there is an easy way around it..

the way around it is to remove the connector and just wire it up individually.

OK, you have the info on the new lights.

Now go to your own car and remove the taillight access panels and unhook the connector so you can see the part number. If it's the same, your good to go. If different, then we are back to might/might not.
