Found the EVAP canister from our 2012 project when we cleaning around the office. Had 1500 miles on the car when it came out.

This has nothing to do with AC. EVAP is the evaporative emissions control canister, some people call it the charcoal box.

Tired of seeing this thing sitting on my desk, bump with new price.

I thought it had to do with the warp drive. Silly me.

As an FYI, the part number for it is different than for 2nd Gen Yaris and the pinout of the connector is different (as well as the connector identifier changed from J25 to J70), so it is definitely not compatible with 2nd gen.
