Subs on stock HU?

i got a good deal on two 12's in a bandpass box from a friend, with a 4000w amp.. I'm wondering if its feasible to run subs on the stock head unit somehow?or would i need to invest in an aftermarket one? I kinda like my bluetooth lol.

If there are RCA jacks in the back of the headunit, you should be able to without much of a problem, however I don't think this is the case. If there aren't, you will need a line-out converter. An alternative would be to trade into a Scion HU that handles Bluetooth and has the cable hookups in the back.

You need an amplifier that takes line level inputs. This amplifier pulls its signal directly off speaker wires, and will work with your OEM head unit. Check Amazon to get an idea what is available, likely an amp rated about at 1/3 the power rating of those woofs.
