tow hooks ?

i have a 2012 model 3 door model, im curious but has anyone installed any tow hooks onto their cars?

more specifically the bennen brand tow hooks, i like one of their new colors and would love a set for my car, but only responses i got were to get the ones certain vendors on this forum carry....

However, I must say that I never understood that "look"
Exactly what are they trying to say?
Is it that they run their car off the road so often that they need to install the tow hook full time?
Perhaps they want to give the false impression that their car is a full time rally car?

For lack of a better terrm, it's a bit too "rice" to me

I broke down last year, completely unrelated to racing, and I was very glad for the tow truck to have a solid point that I approved of to tow from.

Granted, anyone can pop open the little door and screw in the hook that comes with the car, but I like my aesthetics and that thing sticks out about a city block.

I'm happy to get any part you like, whether it's a brand I stock or not. Those are universal though, they don't just bolt on like the ones I carry that will work with your car right out of the box.

bravo two reponses !!!!! :clap:its not for anything really.... its for looks, the car wouldn't need a tow anytime soon considering its 5 months old, and i dont race it so thats the case either...

thats the whole reason im asking, has anyone dealt with this brand or the passwordJDM branded tow hooks? do they fit, is there any issue with them? i would love to know that before i spend $100 bucks on something that wont work at all.... worse case scenario, i just dont buy them and get one costum made by my uncle who is a mechanist.. and it wont cost me a dime.

i appreciate your time cali yaris, but the whole reason i made another thread about these towhooks, is because i wasn't so interested in the styling or colors of your specific hooks. nothing against you, if i can support a vendor here i will try to. and another member tried peddling his hooks but not directly, he basically show me a pic of his shops hooks. which never answered the question.

I can tell you the rear universal ones do fit, at least on the 06-11 Yarii. I tested that out last week with my Miata's old tow hook.

As for the front, no idea - sorry!

I answered the question: The fronts don't fit without modification (making additional brackets, etc.).
I even posted the picture for you and everyone to see what product you are actually asking about.

Look at the picture, then go look at your car. Where is it going to bolt to?

honestly the best font of information you are going to gather about the yaris will come from cali yaris or calling them up and talking to Jeff that works there. Even if you don't buy from them.

Most of the people on this forum are very new to modding and have not really tried many different things out. I am sure someone somewhere has probably tried these on a yaris, but I am also almost positive that person has another car they focus their modding on and has never even thought to look for a yaris forum.

But if you have someone that can make one for you, that is the best. Unique and free can't be beat.

i called bennen and spoke to someone, they said themselves that they have never had a yaris to test it out on. that was the only answer i got. so i guess its going to be one of those try and fit it and see if it works.

Like i said i have no intention on making this a racecar or a riced out looking vehicle either, i m just doing a few small things here and there to make it look nice. I'll keep everyone posted if i end up getting one and trying it out.
