Totaled the car on the way home from work Thursday night. Hydroplaned and struck a tree on the passenger side (hit tow hook which is why it twisted my frame like a pretzel), then it swung around and clipped drivers side. Surprisingly, I'm totally fine. Didnt knock me out or anything (airbag busted my nose, only the one in wheel went off, must not have been going fast enough for the others?)

Considering a 2012 Yaris Hatch, assuming my full coverage gives me enough to put a new downpay ment on. :[ It sucks, I didnt even have that car very long, and was my first wreck. So far I only have two sprained wrists, cut up here and there, busted my nose, and got a badass seatbelt bruise spreading across my chest.

Consider yourself lucky. We have had people on the forum that have lost body parts due to accidents. Glad you are not one of them.

That makes me want to reconsider buying the new 2012 Yaris! D:

Im just really glad I wasnt speeding or anything, Im estimating my speed around 30-40mph, unless you factor in acceleration from the slide. (if any?)

Wow these little cars can get so loose on wet roads. Glad to hear you're OK.

Probably didnt help I have no back seats, which is even LESS weight/tranction than stock.

That sux, but it is just a car and you are OK...........and no one else was involved. It could have been so much more worse. I wrecked my truck earlier this year, but I too wasn't hurt and I am actually glad of the outcome. When you have no control over a vehicle, your life is in the hands of fate. Fortunately, for you and me, we can tell the tale.

Glad your OK man, car actually held up better than expected. Cars usually pick up speed once they hit wet grass, ask me how I know (Road Atlanta 1987) and become extremely uncontrolable. Once you find a replacement think about doing some Auto-X schools and Auto-Xing, you'll be amazed how much car control you can learn in a parking lot!! Again glad your OK, cars are made to be replaceable, people aren't!

as the owner of a white 2dr, it pained me to see the pictures.

However, the important part is that you are okay

My vote - 2012!!!

Hope things turn out alright
