The Japanese digital speedometers are KM only. Some of the European digital ones can be switched between KM and Miles. The easiest and least expensive solution would be to purchase a US one (which can be purchased off ebay for $50 to $100) and install it in place of the existing one. The main computer (ECM) actually deals in just KM, so it doesn't care about how the speedometer displays it, so just the speedometer needs to be changed.

If you car is a right hand drive one (which I assume it is), then to switch from a Japanese cluster to a US or European one you will have to lengthen the two cable that plug into the it, since on the Japanese clusters the connectors are on the opposite sides and the wires are not long enough to reach.

Yes. I have a European LHD digital one that I bought from a junkyard in Israel (via ebay) to experiment with.

There are no European sedans, only liftbacks are available there (and made in France).

No. Even if the Belta gets the digital one in Japan, it will be pointed in the wrong direction, so you would only be able to view it from the passenger seat.
