Devil horn emblems

i've seen devil horn toyota emblems mostly on the tacomas and tundras, i was wondering if anyone is rocking them on their yaris? i think they look bad ass. to my knowledge it appears no one makes them any more. does anybody know where to get them ?? i dont mean the sticker ones either.. im talking about either the actual metal or plastic ones

I contacted the guy on the Tundra forum that makes those last month, i planned/hoped to have one before toyotafest but just missed the group buy...

I have the pricelist in my inbox somewhere...I can dig it up later if you guys want.

He doesn't make them for the Yaris, But I was going to use it somewhere other than the grill.

The guy claims he has Toyotas approval to make the emblems. He does batches every couple of months, I missed the last one by 72 hours and that was 2 weeks before the show.

Once again whom ever is interested please do let me know id like to get a headcount. he said a price for one would be $120 or less depending of the amount of people that want them.

According to their "Brand Standards Guide" (.pdf (http://www.toyotaracing.com/trd/garage/forms/Toyota-TRD%20Logo%20Usage%20Guide.pdf)):DO NOT add additional elements to the logo... so I highly doubt that their lawyers would just willy-nilly approve some guy on the internet to modify their logo.

Garm has been selling items and supporting the community for over 6 years now which I could be mistaken, but might be one of only 2 to 3 vendors doing so. His skull emblem he is "peddling" is of high quality ABS and not the "crap" you are seeming to elude to. If you are asinine enough to blow $120 on a horrible horned metal emblem that very well could be illegal and possibly forced to removed by the official manufacturer then more power to you. On a truck, sure, that emblem would look fine and even stylish, but not on a car. It would remind me of Boss Hog's car on Dukes of Hazzard...would look totally out of place.

The hood ornament for a 50's Chrysler, Buick, Plymouth, or Chevrolet. I love my Yaris, but honestly I really can't think of something that I have wasted money to that tune on mine and I have dropped a great deal of cash on my sedan.

Perhaps this will persuade you to take up your own personal issues via PM instead of in the wide out open after someone has gotten iritated with you not only whining about it on not only this thread, but creating another dedicated one for all to see.:rolleyes:

It really doesn't matter to me. I'm not going to buy one.

I know that there are tons of people out there that make Toyota labeled merchandise out there, 5 seconds on eBay would tell me that. And I'm not going to do anything about it, nor do I care about it.

Hell, Garm has his skull Toyota emblem and I'm not up in arms about it. But, he doesn't run around claiming that Toyota gave him special permission to break their own internal style guide.

I'm sorry, but I find it a little odd that there is that claim about those devil horn emblems. Just my two cents.

The guy i contacted was selling them for 60-90 depending on finish...maybe he didnt realize you already had a price list floating around? I'm pretty sure it's the same guy/thread/forum.

never did the guy claim its authentic, not sure where you got that from... and im not certain whether he has approval to make them or not but he does have a website and he must be selling them with no problems. because he's still doing business.

This is an issue about whether or not the claim that was set forth about his special permission is true.

I'm still trying to figure out where did those words of someone having special permission ever come out of ANY of my posts???? someone else quoted someone they spoke to saying that. but that comment about someone being allowed to produce these never was in any of my posts..

I made this thread to ask if anyone knew of these emblems, where to find them and after i seen someone on another forum producing it, i went out of my way to try find out more info about them, but once again everyone wants a special permission slip saying its ok from toyota and they need to make sure they wont be sued for displaying an emblem on a car they own.

never did the guy claim its authentic, not sure where you got that from... and im not certain whether he has approval to make them or not but he does have a website and he must be selling them with no problems. because he's still doing business.
its not that serious if everyone is butt hurt about an emblem whether its oem or approved by toyota or whatever then just plain forget it.

There are many people selling products they are not licensed to sell. There are many people possessing things that are illegal. Every once and a while a judge decides said people should pay a few million in fines or so.

it seems people are just shutting the idea down, considering someone might lose business on here. and everyone is backing this vendor up....:rolleyes: I for one can not understand what kind of legal actions can anyone take on anyone if you purchase an emblem made by a metal specialist whom makes emblems for cars???? the guy on his site never once stated he works for toyota or his products are "oem"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that someone can do whatever they want to any emblem they want, they just can't make a profit off it without the "ok" from originator. So if you have a devil toyota emblem, they will not make you pay the fine, they will go after the person who is making them/selling them.
