Wow! Kinda a weird time for "skeeters" isn't it? We get them in the summer so bad you almost need a blood transfusion! But at least right now, we're relatively bug-free (unless you count the spiders that take over the house coming in out of the cold).

Don't envy you Steverino being close to the glades. Still remember the stench everytime they caught fire. Just had to stay in the house with the air on cuz you couldn't breathe outside.

Number 1 reason to like winter/cold weather... it kills all the bugs except spiders.

We have black widows too, and brown recluse. I'm lucky I haven't been bitten, was sitting on the porch right next to a black widow. When I figured out what it was, it was a DEAD black widow.

i killed at least two female black widows and one male. i'm glad we don't have brown recluse here. they have a light brown "violin" on them somewhere, right?

Luckily, haven't seen one of them. Treat them like poison ivy--if I can't identify it, it won't bother me ;)
