(Car is automatic) Is it normal when I floor the pedal then let go, the transmission jerks? like it jerked once when I tried to accelerate hard(past 5000rpm) at low speed then suddenly let go of the gas pedal.

I don't think it happened before, only thing I did was changing the transmission oil cuz I felt like the transmission was acting up (car has 110,000km) so indeed it is now smoother. I can definitely tell it is smoother but on occasionally like once in 2 weeks it jerks when I accelerate hard then let go?

What do you guys think it is? tranny dying?

I occasionally experience an off jerkiness, which most typically occurs when I am cruising and then let off for a second (because of someone in front of me slowing down) and then accelerate. I think it's just a case where things happen too quickly for the ECM to make the necessary valve adjustments.

The problem is either in the transmission or in the operator. :iono:

I will keep my opinions to myself thankyou very much.

Oh except to say your oil change was unnecessary and couldnt possibly be making your transmission run any smoother. :headbang:

I'm with you = operator
I don't see whats the need to ''floor it'' then let off??
100% throttle, 100% off, 100% throttle, 100% off :iono:

lol i drive aggressively that's put it that way. when i see old fags driving slow in front of me, i just floor it and blow them away. But it shouldn't matter cuz automatic is an automatic, there can't be a wrong way to press the pedal...

I just drive 6 miles to work and back and never go over 45 mph.

Just dial 911 OLDGUYINFRONTOFME and they will come and get me out of the way.

Mine will jerk ever so often At 60 or above slow down about 10 miles and hour then goes on it merry way. The oil lights pop on for a second.
