yaris 1.0 1krfe EGR?

Hi there, do you know if the yaris 1.0 with the engine 1krfe has an EGR valve?
Where is it located? How can I delete it? Electronically? Or are there other ways?

The EGR on the 1KRFE is a mechanical one, mounted between the engine and the intake manifold, so you can't bypass it electrically. Plugging the orifices is the typical method for bypassing mechanical EGRs, but doing so will typically cause a lot of pinging.

what do you think about bypassing it into something like an oil catch can? Like an alternative reservoir?

the thing is that some time ago, I disassembled the intake mainfold and found out that it was full of dirt, black dirt. I guess its the EGR valve that's causing this.

In that case, an oil catch can may help to keep it cleaner.
