Was there ever a strut for the Yaris/Echo/Tercel that was re-buildable as in would take a replacement insert? Just wondering, cause I've got an assortment of KYB AGXs and Koni inserts that might fit the stock housing. Kinda want to experiment with building my own as I did with my Celica!

I think that the aftermarket KYB and Monroe ones for the Yaris are the type with the replaceable cartridge. From what I've seen on Rockauto.com, both of them look just like the ones on my 92 Celica.

I'll check them out, may even look at modifying a factory set after I replace the fronts at some point!

I've seen people say Megan coilovers can be modified with inserts for a ton of different shock companies. Can probably find some cheap somewhere.
