Too early for me to know, really. It sips so slowly I've had it a month and am only on my second tank...

As of 600 miles so far put on my lift back. I've been getting at right about 38 miles to the gallon. Half highway and half city.

Unfortunately I'll be racing in a RallyCross this weekend, which is sure to blow my numbers.

I've seemed to settle into about 6.1L/100k for the last few tanks.... which I am more than happy with

Another thing i was thinkin about, don't they offer 1.0 and something like 1.3 liters outside the US? I remember hearing that somewhere, if so, the poll is kinda screwed then now that i think about it :/

I must be a really predictable, boring driver... I've got about 2,300 miles on my Yaris, and I've been averaging 37 mpg with an automatic, which falls almost exactly between the city and highway mileage on the window sticker! Not only that, this has happened with the last 3 or 4 tanks of gas, same result each time. Go figure. Maybe it'll even get better over time?!

Six Year revive BUMP! There should be thousands of new users on this forum now and I think people should put in their results! Sticky this admins! I've put about 20k miles on my Yaris since I bought it two years ago and have consistently been getting 39-44 mpg 20% city and 80% highway driving.

I wonder if the gas mixture in our region has something to do with the lower than expected mileage. I have to drive to Chicago for my job several times a month and I usually avoid Chicago gas and gas up on the Indiana side. When I have gassed up in Chicago area, I do get lower MPG.

1) 90 day running average: 48.99 MPG(US)
2) Lifetime Fuel Economy: 47.9 MPG(US)

What's up with GasSavers.org 's picture link?

BTW: Ethanol sucks and is a big conspiracy... LOL!

Cheers!

Hey...first post.

2012 Yaris LE w/5 speed.

On my second tank on the highway doing 90kph I got 5.1lt/100km(46 US MPG / 55 UK MPG)

This is way better than my old 2000 Echo w/5 speed.

The Yaris is still the only car I've ever had where I look forward to filling up, and find it a little annoying I get to do it so rarely! I always wait until I'm showing 400+ plus miles on a tank, so my average is 41-43 with a few more, a very few less if I'm in a real hurry.

I drive pretty vigourously (i'm always late for work) yet with about 50/50 highway and city, I'm averaging 34MPG a tank. Pretty good.

City gas mileage went from 32 to 36 in the time I've had the car so far, and that's big city mileage, and I'm driving... spirited.

hi guys want to share my test result on our gasoline mix with motorbike 2 stroke engine oil.

on my week 2 result

just came back from outstation business meeting have use 22.1 liter for fuel for 391km mileage with few high speed drive chase 2 new daihatsu Boon 160kmh plus (lady driver) ....

this time i lower the ratio but i notice my scangauge reading jumping up and down at some point the number very stable but some point it drop (kilometer per liter reading) maybe my mix is not even in my fuel tank will try other method mix in bottle then pour in tank.

I've been getting pretty bad mileage in comparison to most people here. I've filled up maybe four times and gotten 28, 33, 27, 26 MPG thus far. But it's been ridiculously cold here (-32ºC / -25ºF) for like the past month. I'm guessing (hoping) that's why it's been so low. I do about half highway driving and half city driving.

You're not alone. My last fill up was an astounding 29.3mpg, and it went up to 34 when we had the early january thaw.

I just filled up .. I am getting 33.6 US MPG (7.0 L/100 KM). That is down from about 40 MPG in the summer time. My fuelly is steadily inching downwards.

what kind of traffic conditions are you driving in to get those numbers?

stop and go rush hour traffic or all clear cruising? city driving or mostly suburban/highway? all rural?

My Yaris is a 2012 SE 5-spd manual with 12,500 miles. The worst full tank refill mileage I have had since I got the car is 35 mpg. The best is 39.5 mpg. Here in central Massachusetts, I have been avaeraging between 37.5 - 39.5 using summer gas during warm weather. As winter hit, I dropped to 36 or so. However, we have had much colder weather between 0F to 25F (-18C to -4C) for over a week. My mileage has gone down to 34.5 to 35 mpg. This includes some highway driving (maybe 100 - 150 miles per 340 mile tank) and the rest is rural semi-stop and go (drive 40-50 miles at 30 - 45 mph on curvy back roads).

Summary :

a) Winter mileage - 35- 36.5mpg (mix of super highway, town traffic and rural roads)
b) Summer Mileage - 38 - 39.5 mpg (same mix)

My Yaris is still somewhat new, so still breaking it in. I am hopeful my mileage will increase, not that I am complaining by any means.
