offset to get even spacing on the rear?

What do I need to do to get the rear wheels offset the same? It's been bothering me for years and I think I'm finally going to do something about it. Was just wondering if anyone else had done this.

Unless the rear wheels are different brands sizes why would the offset be different in the rear?

It's always been that way, even with the factory wheels. Dunno if it's unique to the sedan or what, but the passenger side wheel sticks out further than the driver's side.

You are right. One side is about 3-4mm further out than the other. I don't remember which side but it affects sedans and liftbacks. Not your fault. Most people don't notice it or don't care but it's been discussed before. Some have put a small spacer on the side that looks more recessed into the wheel well. Putting a little spacer (3-4mm) doesn't affect your drive and makes it a bit more visually pleasing.

yes the body isn't quite aligned correctly on the wheels of the car. Really just strange. Somehow it doesn't actually effect anything.

I have been reading this thread with interest and just had to go out to my garage and check my '07 sedan. On my car the front passenger wheel also appears to be off set more than the drivers side. What is interesting, though, is that this is the opposite side to your US cars, as mine (Australian) steers from the correct side i.e. the right side.:laughabove:
It must be something to do with the placement of the steering rack.

Penguin Garage makes rear hub spacers for our cars, Micro Image sells them and their availible in 10mm and 13mm thick. Wonder if it's possible to buy mixed matched sets, that way you cure 2 problems at once!! Just a thought, but might just work.......:eek:

The offset is eiter 4 or 5mm. I have a 3mm spacer and its still off by 1-2mm

Yeah I thought those 10mm spacers would be too much, it's just a little bit off but it's enough to bother me. I didn't know if someone had developed a spacer that would fix it, but I guess not. enviri, where'd you get the 3mm spacer? That would at least clean it up a little bit...
