I have always wanted one of these fender rollers, but only if i can get some other folks to need me to roll their fenders too. I really need to roll the Celica fenders for my race tire clearance and think this would be a good investment for other future projects. What do y'all think?

If there was a guy near where I lived that would do a proper job rolling my fenders, I'd be willing to pay him to do it. Not sure how long it takes, what could you charge for something like that?

I got one. It doesn't get used very often since you pretty much only use it once per vehicle, but it's a great tool to have.

+1, great tool.

There's half a dozen guys on CL around here that will come over and roll your fenders for $50 -- now that they finished their own cars.

I want to get one too. It is a great tool to have and you can always throw up ads on CL to do the job for those less qualified.

I know a guy down here who rents the tool for $5/day tho can't beat that!

Yeah my brother-in-law runs a body shop and would probebly love for me to buy this, so we can both use it. He does a lot of customs and restorations, so not sure he'd have a lot of use for it, but worth a try! This is his shop and some of his projects.........

That's a fascinating tool. I always wondered how it was done. Does rolling make the paint crack?

^ Not with those sweet urethane "skateboard" wheels. If you apply heat it also helps make the plastic bumper follow the changes to the metal fender. I've seen it done a few times -- takes patience, but you can get a very nice effect.

The baseball bat method can definitely mess with your paint. I've done it that way myself, at the track. LOL

I have a bunch of friends doing the bat method with great success but Id go with the skateboard wheels too.
