Hows the ride?

Looking very good

How do you like your new shocks?

The ride is a little stiff for normal driving, but it feels much better as the speeds go up. There is a lot less body roll and the steering responds a bit quicker with the stiffer end links. Handling was more of a priority than ride comfort anyway, but it does still ride smoother than a stock 350Z.

My previous setup was just S-Tech springs with stock shocks that were about a year overdue for replacement. I used to have a fair amount of rubbing on during hard cornering; now with the coilovers set about 1" lower there is almost no rubbing at all.

The main things I was looking for when I picked these coilovers were:

-lower
-stiffer
-adjustable
-cheap

The Street Advance met all these criteria so I'm happy.

lovely! Other than being rebound adj. how do they differ from the older basics?

As far as I can tell, the specs are the same otherwise. The price difference between the two was only about $100, so the added adjustment is easily worth it.

On Garm's store, the Street Basis are $900 (http://shop.microimageonline.com/NEW-TEIN-Street-Basis-coilovers-Yaris-GSL70-11AS2.htm) so if they're $100, I'm guessing they ran $1k. I'm sure Garm can chime in on his specific price.

Thanks for the pics!

Looks like I put my rear springs in upside down, whoops LOL.

In the older basics design for the rear the spring perches went on the bottom

Nope, followed the instructions. The springs only sit correctly one way anyway. Not sure if the older ones are different.

1. They are $250 more, not $100. ($1150 MSRP vs. $900 MSRP, we include free shipping)
2. They are not EDFC compatible.
3. They add damping only, not rebound or any other function.
4. They are special order, not in stock at Tein.

Summary: Pay a little more, get damping adjustment over the Street Basis.

It is definately worth the little extra.

Might as well go with damper/spring combo compared to the non-adjustable street basics.

Noone is going to keep adjusting the height anyway.

The place I ordered them from only had a $100 price difference between the two. :iono: Nobody does free shipping to Hawaii.

The brakes are Stoptech Sportstop drilled and slotted rotors. I also did the Goodridge stainless steel brake line kit.

Nobody does free shipping to Hawaii.

We often do. But not if you just order from our shopping cart. (818) 610-3635

Hey question, is this as low as these coils can go or can they go lower? Sorry I'm newer on Yaris, I been on the Honda game for a while, switched over and I want it dumped on the ground, just want to go with something that can offer that, but I don't want bags, something about 1k or under if anyone has any suggestions?

Specs are on Tein's website:

http://www.tein.com/products/street_advance_price_list.html

Prices on these have also dropped. MSRP now is $840. Street Flex is $1350 but I'm seeing prices at right around $1000:
