wat r things to do when changing from 15 to 17?

there should not really be anything to adjust, but get your alignment checked just in case!

If you can get them mounted/balanced for $10/wheel, you're doing good. If you didn't buy the wheels/tires from the shop, they may charge you a little more.

I always shop around for someone who mounts aftermarket wheels everyday. Having the job done correctly and rolling away with no scratches or gouges on my wheels means more to me than price. :burnrubber:

are you dropped? or on stock springs? im runnin a 17x7 wheel with a +42 offset. im on 205/45/17 tires and with tanabe nf springs i have minor rubbing on good sharp dips, i think this could be corrected with a stiffer set of aftermarket shocks....

your case may be different but im just throwing up the warning. i think i may go with a 205/40 along with the shocks and i know i wont have any problems.....

No drop here...mine are 42 offset too.

I was told that from going to 15 to 17 an aliment is necessary. Something about adjusting the front toes.

My question is out of place but how do you find the offset to your rims? Are they listed on the rims themselves?

i heard that when you do balance and rotate you need to bring it to a place that they do high speed balance and rotate it's cost around $100 dollars for that. So when you ride at high speed like 80 and up your car will not move around or kindda like jipperryy ( shaking) is it true?

no alignment is needed when changing wheel/tire size... Changing your wheels in noway magicly adjust your tie rods... and if you are wanting to run a 7.5 wide wheel I would go to a 215/40R17, unless you like the stretched look then go 205's. Also with a +42 offset and a 7.5in wide wheel you most likely will rub,but only on a full lock turn.
