another thread got me thinking, would a midpipe for the XD fit yaris? Thoughts?
I'm seeing if its viable to get an aftermarket XD pipe (with emissions stuff) into a yaris. the chassis is I say 90%+ similar...
IT SEEMS the flange needs rotation, and the hangers may need modification. the bends differ only little so that should be a non-issue. The midpipe length is what worries me. I just made a little compare from the EPC..

It should work as both midpipes share the same 17410 part number.

^ part numbers differ only slightly. Maybe?

Don't think it'll work.
As a side note, they had a 10th Gen corolla on a rotisserie at my local dealership a couple years ago. It had the 2zrfe in it as the.exhaust manifold was at the back and the piping looked similar in diameter as the yaris where it shrinks down after the resonator. (In my mind its why aucorium had such large gains with intake and exhaust)
I would (and did) just get a custom pipe made from the back of the resonator to the axle section for use with my Megan axleback
so how messed up would it be to take the resonator out? I don't think it is required like the cats are, are they?
just cut it after the second cat and go from there...

You could even do without the second cat

It'll sound raspy without the resonator

Yea the resonator quiets it down a bit and gets rid of that raspiness.. Maybe eliminate the second cat and get a high flow resonator..
